Wake-Up-Reality-Check & Me

I began web-designing in 2005/2006 I’ve come a long way in just a year and a half or so. I started out on piczo with a really ugly looking site I feel so embarrassed about it even to this day it had glitter background and page links it was just horrible. I eventually opened up a hilary duff fansite called hilaryduff135 I didn’t think it would be really popular so I just chose any name I was very surprised because in the end I had made so many friends on piczo with as many hilary duff fansites and the community it was truly amazing after about 13000 hits which I found impressive at the time for a piczo site I decided I wanted to get hosted..I had no knowledge well maybe a little but not a lot I opened the site on sweetangelweb.com keeping the name I had on piczo since I didn’t feel like changing it. Eventually a few months later my dad bought me a domain from godaddy.com a .com domain I only used it for a month I felt ashamed wasting my dad’s money like that..but I soon realized that there were too many Hilary fansites and there was just too much competition and I didn’t think it was worth all the work. I still support Hilary Duff to this day I bought Dignity and I still visit many of the big Hil’ fansites on the net. I’m one of her number one fans ;). After I closed hilaryduff135 I realized I was sort of bored from not having any sites to work on…I started this site [wake-up-reality-check]. It was started on freewebs.com since of course after being hosted I already knew html quite well and since I wasn’t sure I’d actually use the site I chose the best free site host I could think of..I started making graphics and I realized it was quite enjoyable.I didn’t have to worry about updating all the time I could update when I wanted or needed to. I didn’t have to post any celebrity news it was so carefree but I continued to put effort into it. I decided it was about time that I got it hosted. I was planning on opening a jojo fansite on nowirun.net but later changed my mind after starting I asked the host to change the name and I was set to go..transferring was quite easy I just had to move all the html pages to the new site. After opening I started to get many visitors some came on daily and I was truly glad that my site was helpful for some people. Unfortunately my host nowirun.net had the servers hacked in late July early August I was thoroughly disappointed when I heard the backup and work that I had done on my site had been gone at first I felt like blaming my host but realized there was nothing he could do about it.. I fortunately found old codings and images and here we are I’ve been able to rebuild most of the site just like Berlin,Germany lol…wurc has been through a lot. It’s sort of my best friend I know that sounds odd but in a way it is..I can put down certain feelings I have it also for some reason makes me want to improve my skills. I always have a certain confidence boost I hope to keep this site as long as I can I truly love it and have put a lot of time and effort in it. After my dad finally could afford a domain on 1and1.com I am truly happy to have my site back I truly missed it. =]
